1. Booking
You can report a fault through the website, the client portal, by phone or by email. We log the date and time of every report. A visit is booked when we confirm the time to you.
2. Prices
- We charge a call-out fee per job and an hourly rate for the actual time on site, plus parts. Prices include VAT and are confirmed when you book.
- The time is recorded with a timer on the job and shown in your portal, so you can see whether it was a quick fix or a longer repair.
- If we give you a price estimate, the final price will not be significantly higher. If more work is needed, we ask you first.
- If a repair does not make economic sense compared with the value of the appliance, we tell you before we start.
- If you decide not to go ahead after we have found the fault, we charge the call-out fee and the time spent finding it.
3. Cancelling a visit
You can cancel or move a visit free of charge up to 24 hours before it. Later, or if we cannot get access at the agreed time, we may charge the call-out fee.
4. Payment
We send the invoice by email and show it in the portal. Payment is due within 14 days. Late payment carries interest under the Act No. 38/2001 on Interest and Price Indexation.
5. Our repair warranty
- The warranty period for our work and fitted parts depends on the repair and is stated in the job documentation.
- It does not cover normal wear, misuse, faults in other parts of the appliance, or damage caused by others.
- If something we repaired fails, tell us within a reasonable time after you notice it. Consumers may complain within two years of the work, under Art. 17 of Act No. 42/2000.
6. Manufacturer warranty
We check whether your appliance is still under the manufacturer’s warranty before we start. Warranty work is carried out and invoiced under the manufacturer’s terms. If the fault turns out not to be covered, normal prices apply and we tell you first.
7. Replaced parts
Old parts are returned to you if you ask before the visit ends. Otherwise we recycle them.
8. Appliances left with us
If an appliance we have repaired is not collected, we store it at the owner’s cost. After three months and a written warning, we may sell or dispose of it as Arts. 37 and 38 of Act No. 42/2000 allow.
9. Access and safety
Please make sure we can reach the appliance and that water and power are available. We may stop work if it is not safe to continue.
10. Liability
We are responsible for damage we cause through negligence. For business clients, we are not liable for indirect loss such as lost revenue, unless we acted with gross negligence. This does not limit consumers’ statutory rights.
11. Client portal
Your login is personal. Keep your password safe and tell us if you think someone else has used it. Business clients can have several users on one account by agreement.
12. Business agreements
If you have a written service agreement with us, it takes precedence over these terms where they differ.
13. Complaints and disputes
Contact us first, and we will try to solve it quickly. Consumers can refer a dispute to Kærunefnd vöru- og þjónustukaupa, the Icelandic complaints committee for goods and services. Icelandic law applies, and disputes go to the District Court of Reykjavík.
